It is estimated that 45% of the population will experience diagnosed depression or anxiety within their lifetime – that was before COVID19. There is a real challenge in staying mentally fit in the current climate, but where there is a challenge, there is also a huge opportunity for companies to support their employees.
Most workplace initiatives are useful but have been too heavily weighted in the ‘reactive’ space, potentially allowing for those in the vulnerable category to sink to a level of helplessness that makes the path back to good health extremely difficult.
The next proactive wave in this space is to normalise the importance of mental fitness in the same way that physical fitness is prioritised, using proven science from the positive psychology field as well as areas of neuroscience, brain chemistry, and behavioural science.
This webinar will look at the need for more focus and strategic planning around proactive interventions that work progressively and consistently to prevent mental illness and concurrently assist those already diagnosed.
